Tunage on a small scale

I recently snagged this wireless, Jambox by Jawbone speaker at a silent auction after hovering over it like a chubby kid eyeing the last piece of cake at his best friend’s birthday party.

I have to say that it packs a pretty powerful punch for being such a lightweight. The sound quality is pretty decent, but cannot compare to a premium soundsystem that audiophiles would kill for. This speaker wouldn’t be the best option for a ragin’ party, but for my 800-square-foot apartment, it’s absolutely perfect. As you can see, it’s a pretty small device - slightly larger than a Wii controller. But don’t let the size of this speaker fool you. It has the ability to pump out up to 85 decibels. I mainly stream music through Grooveshark, SoundCloud or Pandora from my Android - so having the ability to sync it up to Jambox via Bluetooth within 33 feet is pretty awesome. It does come with a 3.55 mm stereo input cord as well. The battery life lasts up to 10 hours and so far, so good. I haven’t had to charge it up just yet and I’ve already put several hours on it. This device also serves as a speakerphone - but I have yet to give that a whirl. Overall,  I’m totally diggin the Jambox right now and can’t wait to take it with me to the beach next summer. For now, I’m relishing it from every spot at my crib.
